Whenever Apple releases a new product or a newly modified device, developers, hackers, i-Users, and even Apple people themselves wait to see if that new product is secure or acquires a bug or a malfunction. That’s the first step, discover the bug. The second and most expected step is Apple’s announcement for its launching a new device, which should definitely be flawless, at least regarding the flaws in the previous device. Well, here’s the good part, we wait to see what’s in Apple’s cards and how they will solve a bug and bring us a new technology.

Thanks to Safwan Saba, a newly bug in the iOS 5.0.1 has came to the light. According to iPhone Islam, this bug is absolutely dangerous since it allows anyone to make phone calls, manipulate and edit your contact’s information even if a pass code is enabled to your iPhone.
Let me narrate how Safwan Saba discovered this critical bug in the iOS 5.0.1 system, and here are the steps to see what he did:
1) Get the iPhone in an area with no coverage (Or remove the SIM card out)
2) Now your unjailbroken iPhone 4S will be searching for a signal
3) Drag any missed call notification to the center
4) Now you’re inside (you might need to try it a multiple times until you get inside)
5) Re-insert the SIM card and start making your phone calls

Dangerous… Huh? Wait till you see it happen for yourself. We brought you this video to show you exactly how it’s done:
Indeed such a critical bug to iOS 5.0.1 Apple devices will make Apple to shape up their newly to be released iOS 5.1 device on March 9th and get ready to face this bug together with the FaceTime call bug we discussed later.
iPhone Islam also agrees that this bug will urge Apple to release a modified device soon:
“We know that the gaps give you a sense of safety, but this gap is different as its founders and providers of the world are your brothers, and this is something great to share the technology always with positive attitude and to have an impact on the whole world. It is expected in any case that Apple will issue a new update on March 9, we hope not to be too late to patch this gap serious.”
The Solution
We’re not done yet, along with discovering the bug, iPhone Islam also brought a temporary solution to i-users. Although it’s pretty annoying, but up till the release of the iOS 5.1, we have no other choice to protect our iPhone’s privacy. What you can do, according to iPhone Islam, is disable the notifications in the unlock screen in the notifications settings. This way, no missed call notification can be dragged to the screen and a step is missed.
